The new 0.58x Speed Booster reduces the crop factor of the BMPCC from 2.88x to 1.75x, and produces the largest aperture optics currently available, with a maximum output aperture of f/0.74. For example, a 50mm f/1.2 now becomes a 29mm f/0.74 (i.e, by using 50mm lens, the actual focal length in BMPCC is 29mm x 3.02 = 87.58mm), and the Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 becomes the world’s fastest zoom lens at 10.5-20.3mm f/1.0 with stunningly sharp performance. Like the revolutionary original Metabones Speed Booster announced in January 2013, the Speed Booster ULTRA has a magnification of 0.71x, and so it effectively reduces the crop factor of mirrorless cameras with DX-sized sensors and Super35 camcorder, such as Sony E-mount, Fuji X-mount cameras Sony FS7 MARKII, from 1.5x to 1.07x. However, the new ULTRA design makes very effective use of exotic materials at the furthest limit of glassmaking technology, and as a result is well corrected for use with virtually all full-frame SLR/Prime lenses regardless of exit pupil distance. Description

The new Speed Booster Ultra 0.71x is an ideal match for 6×6 Hasselblad V lenses since they can now be fully utilized as they were originally designed when mounted to the Fuji GFX. Unlike 35mm format lenses used on the Fuji GFX via glassless adapters, Hasselblad V lenses adapted to the GFX via the Speed Booster Ultra are completely free of disturbing vignetting and other corner issues.
In addition to increasing the field of view and lens speed, the new Speed Booster Ultra achieves superb performance by being carefully matched to the unique optical characteristics of the Hasselblad V lenses. All of the Hasselblad V lenses were analyzed for exit pupil size and location, and this was fully taken into account in the new Speed Booster Ultra for the Fuji GFX. This approach dictated the use of extremely large lens elements throughout in order to avoid vignetting and maintain high-quality imagery into the corners, but the results speak for themselves.
Like all Metabones Speed Boosters, the Hasselblad-V to GFX Speed Booster Ultra is optimized to fully account for the camera’s filter stack located near the sensor surface. This is especially critical when using high-speed optics like the 110mm f/2, which becomes a high-performance 78mm f/1.4.
In addition to superb optical performance, the Hasselblad-V to GFX Speed Booster Ultra is equipped with an extremely robust cine-style positive locking mechanism to ensure that no play occurs during focusing. This is especially important when using Hasselblad V lenses for cine work because even though they provide a very smooth focus movement, they tend to require more torque than lesser lenses. The new Ultra also includes a very sturdy 360-degree rotation collar and extra length Arca Swiss style tripod mounting plate.

Description

The BMPCC4K Speed Booster ULTRA 0.71x and XL 0.64x are similar to the standard M43 Speed Booster adapters (MB_SPNFG-m43-BM2 and MB_SPNFG-m43-BM3) but the optics have been re-designed to optimize for the filter stack thickness of 2.4mm found in Blackmagic cameras rather than the 4mm of a standard Micro Four Thirds.
Metabones Canon EF to BMPCC4K Speed Booster adapters are designed exclusively for Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 4K (BMPCC4K). They cannot be attached to any other M43 cameras such as JVC, Olympus or Panasonic cameras.
The BMPCC4K Speed Booster XL 0.64x reduces the crop factor of the BMPCC 4K camera from 2.02x to 1.29x and produces the largest aperture optics currently available, with a maximum output aperture of f/0.8.

Относительное отверстие («светосила») объектива увеличивается на 1 2/3 ступени. Таким образом, например, объектив с номинальной светосилой f/1.2 преобразуется в объектив со светосилой f/0.74.
Кроп-фактор камеры Blackmagic BMPCC снижается с 3.02 до 1.75х. Адаптер не поддерживает объективы Canon с байонетом EF-S, но может использоваться с объективами формата DX других производителей (Sigma, Tamron, Tokina и т.д.)
